Professional Experience

Since 1987 starting in New York I have been in Private Practice working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and groups. In 1996 I moved my practice to San Francisco and devoted my work to adults, couples, groups, supervision & consultation.

In 2003 I became Board Certified in Psychoanalysis Psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology.

I serve as Faculty and Personal and Supervising Analyst for both the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California and the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis.

I teach and train other therapists at these Institutes as well as in the past at the California School of Professional Psychology of Alliant International University (1996 - 2001) and California Institute of Integral Studies (1999 - 2004). I also conduct training workshops for mental health professionals, and I am certified by the Boards of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences to offer continuing education credits to licensed mental health professionals.

In the past I have worked in New York as a school psychologist for the Board of Cooperative Educational Services (vocational special education) and a clinical psychologist and Assistant Director of Psychological Services for South Oaks Hospital, a private psychiatric hospital specializing in addictive practices of food and drugs. In San Francisco I served as the Training Director and Director of Children, Youth and Family services for the RAMS, Inc., a non-profit community mental health clinic.
