Supervision/Consultation

I offer both individual and group supervision/consultation for licensed and unlicensed therapists. My groups meet biweekly, and currently I have openings in my Thursday groups (1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.) and my Friday groups (1:30 p.m. - 3:00p.m.). At present I do not have a consultation group for unlicensed therapists, and I am open and willing to establish new groups starting with a cohort of three individuals.

My approach to supervision lies with helping the therapist develop and refine his or her unique voice and use of self. Gaining confidence in one’s therapeutic or psychoanalytic identity is key. In my supervision groups members are free to talk about any matter relating to their professional work: clinical, business, personal or anything else that affects therapeutic identity. I facilitate the group’s members to help one another and in this way learn how to consult with others and how to gain experience in groups.

My supervisory approach is psychoanalytic and influenced by interpersonal, object relations, and contemporary analytic approaches. Modern Psychoanalysis also informs my approach and technique.
